Electrical with cai vision: INSPECTING & TESTING
CAI Vision is a fully accredited member of the NICEIC (National Inspection Council for Electrical Installation Contracting) and can therefore offer the following services to its clients.
- Electrical Periodic Inspection and Test
- Emergency Lighting Periodic Inspection and Test
- Fire Alarm Periodic Inspection and Test
Every electrical installation deteriorates with use and age. To ensure that the safety of users is not compromised it is essential that the installation is inspected and tested regualarly.
As a member of the NICEIC CAI Vision are qualified to carry out a Periodic Inspection Report (PIR). A PIR describes the overall condition of an installation and outlines any work required to comply with BS 7671.
It is recommended that periodic inspection and testing is carried out at least every:
- 10 years for a domestic installation
- 5 years for a commercial installation
- 3 years for caravans
- 1 year for swimming pools
Other instances when a periodic inspection should be carried out are:
- When a property is being prepared to be let
- Prior to selling a property or when buying a previously occupied property
Our services include simple testing of portable appliances, right up to full inspection and testing of entire commercial installations. We will provide a full report for the client, which enables them to see in detail the condition of their electrical installation. We can also offer estimates for any remedial work that is required.
As an approved electrical contractor of the NICEIC, all our work is regularly inspected together with our electrical test equipment. We are also required to have up to date copies of required publications and technical literature.
