Security with CAI Vision: CLOSED CIRCUIT TV

CAI Vision installs CCTV systems into a variety of residential, commercial and industrial premises, in addition to high profile institutions such as the Natural History Museum and the De Beers Diamond Collection. There are currently more than one thousand retail customers that operate CAI Vision CCTV systems.
There are many poor quality CCTV installations in existence producing low quality images. This is due to security installers’ lack of understanding of the science and technology of television and video signal distribution. Since 1973 CAI Vision has been a market leader in the business of television and video signal distribution. It is this know-how that guarantees excellence with the design and installation of CCTV systems, resulting in superb, high quality visual images.
CAI Vision supplies and installs top quality equipment from leading manufacturers including: Honeywell Ademco, Panasonic, Hitachi and Silent Witness.
We can integrate CCTV with access control, intruder and fire alarm systems, and computer networks

Cameras
CAI Vision offer a complete range of CCTV cameras, incorporating the latest in day/night technology, privacy domes and licence plate recognition. Our expertise ensures quality colour pictures under the most demanding conditions.
We supply the latest generation of affordable Pan-Tilt-Zoom (PTZ) dome cameras. When used with a suitable controller, PTZ domes can pan across the entire 360-degree range and tilt and zoom functions enable a specific subject to be viewed in detail.
Display Monitors
CCTV monitors vary in size and performance, with a choice of colour or monochrome to suit almost any application. Each monitor exceeds the latest quality standards and they are available with a split-screen feature to view a number of areas at once.
Recording and Storage
At CAI Vision we have the most advanced digital CCTV technology. These systems can record constantly without the need for tapes, allowing you to instantly retrieve data, and they provide pin sharp images that never deteriorate.
There are numerous benefits of digital video recording over older analogue systems:
- Ability to instantly search by date, time, or event
- Store months of footage at no additional cost
- No signal or quality loss on recording
- Automatically overwrites the oldest video footage
- Digital images are much higher quality than analogue
- Flexible configurations and settings
- Remotely view multiple locations from anywhere in the world using a PC/Laptop
- Record video off-premises to a remote server
- Multiple levels of user security

Remote Access
The proliferation of broadband internet access has enabled another breakthrough in CCTV technology. Using a digital recorder and an ADSL line, it is now possible to view live or recorded images and even control cameras on a CCTV system from virtually anywhere in the world. Not only is this an excellent security device, it is also an invaluable management tool – you can keep track of your business whilst away from it.
Remote Monitoring
CCTV effectiveness can be taken to a new level with remote video monitoring. Your CCTV system can be linked to a remote centre around the clock and an operator can instantly review images, assess what is happening and determine what action to take.
Data Protection Act
The 1998 Data Protection Act now has implications for CCTV systems and operators, particularly if you use video-cassette recording. CAI Vision can provide everything you need to comply and help to ensure that your system is being operated in accordance with this and other legislation, such as the 1998 Human Rights Act.
Specialist Applications
Number Plate Recognition
CCTV cameras can be used in conjunction with Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) software to provide reliable vehicle identification. Applications include motorways, car parks, access control, toll booths, airports, hotels, congestion monitoring and private estates. CAI Vision can supply the complete system, using our expertise to ensure high reliability 24-hours a day.
Maintenance
Regular maintenance is essential for all CCTV systems. We employ a dedicated, highly qualified team of installation and service engineers who provide coverage for scheduled and emergency servicing and maintenance.
