Security with cai vision: REMOTE MONITORED ALARMS
Monitored alarms provide a more effective security installation than traditional 'bell only' alarms. Research has shown that most people ignore a ringing bell. However, with a monitored alarm system, a signal is sent to an Alarm Receiving Centre when the system is activated. The status of the alarm is then checked and then, where appropriate, the emergency services are contacted.
CAI Vision design, supply and install monitored systems for intruder alarms and fire alarms. We only work with trusted, market leading companies such as BT Redcare and Custodian Monitoring Services. With a monitored CAI Vision alarm system your premises will be protected 24 hours a day, 365 days a year
There are a number of benefits of a CAI Vision monitored alarm system:
-
Police Response for Monitored Intruder Alarms
- The Police will no longer respond to a bell-only alarm, unless there is additional evidence of a crime being committed. The Police will respond to a monitored alarm that qualifies for Police response.
-
Fire Alarm Monitoring
- Many fire alarm systems rely on bells or flashing lights to attract attention and rely on someone being around to call the fire brigade in the event of a fire. With a monitored fire alarm you can guarantee that someone will be watching over your premises 24 hours a day every day, ready to call out fire services within seconds of an activation being detected.
-
Online Fault Rectification
- With a bell-only alarm if a fault develops an engineer will most likely need to attend the site. Fault diagnostics can be carried out remotley on monitored alarm systems using the monitoring line. Negating the need for an engineer to attend saves you time.
-
False Alarm Management
- With a monitored alarm a loud external alarm is not necessary because you are not relying on passers by to come to your aid. In fact, research has shown that most people ignore a ringing bell.
- If your premises are closed and we cannot contact you when there is a problem with the alarm, which requires entry to the property to rectify, we can alert a keyholder. With a bell-only system a fault may persist for the whole time you are away, and no one may be available to attend to the problem.
BT RedCARE
The RedCARE service continuously checks that your alarm panel can communicate with the Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC). it does this by monitoring the BT telephone line that links a professionally installed alarm system in your premises to the ARC, every second of every day, 365 days a years. If an alarm is activated, RedCARE acts within seconds transmitting an appropriate signal to the ARC.
Unlike other monitored systems, RedCARE detects any problem, such as malicious line cutting, that might stop the alarm panel communicating with the ARC. Signals are transmitted within seconds through the network to alert the ARC, which then contacts the appropriate emergency service. With up to eight channels to differentiate between eight different situations, you can be sure that RedCARE will help to summon the right response every time.
